ATEC Procedure
ATEC stands for Automatic Tissue Extraction and Collection.
It is a vacuum system utilizing a small needle and a small
incision to collect tissue from the breast. Using a
3-millimeter incision within seconds a breast lesion can be
sampled and many times completely removed. It is
infrequent for women to feel any discomfort during the
procedure. For more information please visit
Suros Surgical Systems.
Contura Balloon Catheters
Contura 5-Day Targeted Radiation Therapy
simplifies breast cancer treatment. After the breast
cancer tumor is removed (lumpectomy), a small, soft
Contura balloon attached to a thin tube (catheter) is
placed inside the lumpectomy cavity through a small incision
in the breast. For more information please visit the
Contura homepage.
